Want to Contribute?

All product teams using MDX are encouraged to participate as contributors.

Every contribution to MDX helps keep the system healthy and efficient: changes only need to be made once and are available to all MDX users. All teams benefit from this, and at the same time, you benefit by addressing bug fixes immediately yourself instead of waiting for prioritization in the backlog.

What to contribute?

We are currently pleased to receive the following code and documentation contributions:

Bug fixes for existing web components or widgets

Design token changes (e.g. for your own brand)

Improvements or new sections of documentation across the entire design system

Propose enhancements: Do you have ideas for useful features or enhancements? Either reach out to us directly or write to us in the Teams channel. For specific improvements to existing design tokens and components, you can create a JIRA ticket directly.

Contribution Documentation for Developers

Your starting point is the GitLab repository, where you can find both the documentation and the code.

In order to grant you access to the repository, you must have an active Migros GitLab account.

There are various ways to participate to MDX:

Provide your feedback: We regularly conduct an anonymous MDX survey for developers, UX designers, and business representatives, where you can share your satisfaction, wishes, and suggestions. We are also open to feedback at any time - just reach out to us!

Support others in using MDX: Do you know of a project that already uses MDX? Do you have a similar tech stack? If so, it’s time to connect and exchange ideas.

Propose enhancements and report bugs: Have you found something that could be improved? Create a JIRA ticket or reach out to us!
